Die Seite ermöglicht die Erkundung verschiedener Künstler, Themen und Techniken der Bewegung, die sich in Deutschland und Österreich während der ersten Jahrzehnte des 20. Jahrhunderts entwickelte. Die Seite umfasst zwei komplementäre, miteinander verbundene Bereiche, die es Besuchern ermöglicht, verschiedene Aspekte der Bewegung zu erforschen und die Sammlung online mit Hilfe verschiedener selektiver Filter, nach Künstler, Entstehungszeitpunkt, Technik oder Thema zu sortieren. - [Engl.:] This website documents the Museum's extraordinary collection of more than 3,000 Expressionist prints, drawings, paintings, sculptures, illustrated books, and periodicals, exploring the various artists, themes, and techniques associated with the major modernist movement that developed in Germany and Austria during the early decades of the 20th century. The site comprises two complementary, interconnected sections that enable visitors to explore various aspects of the movement and to browse and search the collection online using various selective filters for the material to be sorted according to artist, date, technique, or theme. The zoom feature is available with all works. For the illustrated books, a special page-turning animation has been developed, which enables visitors to virtually page through all of the illustrations in each of 27 volumes. Other special features include a chronology of the Expressionist era detailing the major cultural and political events, and an interactive map of Germany.
