Abstract:
The new draft DEGA Guideline 103‐1: Sound insulation in residential buildings – Sound insulation classes and increased sound insulation This paper presents the draft of DEGA‐Richtlinie 103‐1 : 2023‐05 “Schallschutz im Wohnungsbau Teil 1: Schallschutzklassen und erhöhter Schallschutz” [1]. This draft is based on DEGA recommendation 103 version 2018. Comments to this draft can be sent to DEGA until 09. 10. 2023. Part 1 presented here deals with the sound insulation classes with the associated requirements. Part 2, which is to be prepared, will then deal with the sound insulation certificate. The draft continues the concept of the seven sound insulation classes from DEGA recommendation 103. The main change is the introduction of a parallel concept of building component‐related and room‐related single number values (SNV) for sound insulation. With regard to the subjective perception of noise, the use of room‐related SNV ( D nT,w , L ' nT,w and L AF,max,nT ) is recommended. The classification is carried out on the basis of these SNV, but can also be carried out with the help of the usual SNV for the sound insulation of building components ( R ' w , L ' n,w ). The currently discussed changes in the planned revision of the DIN 4109 series were taken into account.
