The 1st edition of the flora contained treatments of 1112 species representing 80 families of vascular plants found in the Yukon Territory. Also included were species that occurred nearby and might be found in the Territory in the future. Since the publication of Flora of the Yukon Territory in 1991, a number of minor errors were discovered and they have been corrected here. An additional 46 taxa, some of which were suggested might be found or were not previously anticipated, keyed, or described, have been described, keyed, and mapped in taxonomic sequence in the addendum accompanying the Second Edition. This important work brings the knowledge of the vascular plants of the Yukon Territory up to date.
