Die Reihe "Taschenlehrbuch Biologie" (bereits erschienen: "Mikrobiologie", ID 47/08; "Biochemie - Zellbiologie", BA 2/09; "Botanik", BA 5/09; "Ökologie, Evolution", BA 9/09 und "Genetik", BA 5/10) schließt mit dem Band "Zoologie" ab. Sie vermittelt Grundlagenwissen für Bachelorstudenten biologischer Disziplinen. Auch für diesen Band gilt das hier mehrfach geäußerte Lob zu Didaktik und Gestaltung. Er sollte die alte Hardcoverausgabe ("Zoologie", ID 1/03) möglichst ergänzen oder besser noch ersetzen. Auch für das Zoologie-Taschenbuch sind wieder Zusatzinformationen über die im Buch angegebene URL geplant: Prüfungsfragen mit Antworten, Internetlinks und Literaturangaben (zzt. noch nicht verfügbar, aber die Seiten für alle anderen Bände machen einen guten Eindruck und sind gerade im Frage-Antwort-Bereich eine ausgezeichnete Studierhilfe). - Zur Komplettierung des Lehrwerks für einschlägige Bachelorstudiengänge und evtl. auch als Zusatzliteratur für Biologieleistungskurse in der Oberstufe. Auch preislich vor den umfangreicheren Lehrbüchern wie "Zoologie" (Pearson; ID 26/08). (2 S)
