It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 15th Annual International Workshop on Network and Operating Systems Support for Digital Audio and Video. This year, we have attempted to refocus the workshop on the presentation of ideas that are going to help lead the future of network and operating systems support for multimedia applications.This year we had 88 submissions from all over the world. The program committee accepted 33 papers for presentation, covering a number of newer topics such as network gaming and some traditional topics at NOSSDAV such as streaming media. We hope that these proceedings will serve as a valuable reference for the generation of research ideas in the future. We are honored to welcome Professor Harrick Vin for the keynote talk. He has been a pioneer in the multimedia systems area and continues to provide leadership to our community.
