    Content: Das Manuskript 399 BnF ist eine mexikanische Doctrina Christiana in Bilderschrift. Derartige Missionsliteratur wurde von den Indianern als Gedächtnisstütze entwickelt. Die Autorin hat die Doctrina ins Nahuatl transferiert und ins Deutsche übersetzt. Sie interpretiert und vergleicht sie mit anderen Doctrinas in Bildern. Die Doctrina enthält Zusätze in Bilderschrift und als handschriftliche Texte mit persönlichen Daten des Pedro Tlacahuepan, Sohn des letzten Herrschers von Mexiko. Er und seine Nachkommen forderten gemäß dem Konzept der ›natürlichen Herren‹ Privilegien von der Spanischen Krone ein, die auch Pedro Cano, Sohn der Isabel, einer Tochter des Herrschers beanspruchte. Mit der Gründung und den Endkämpfen um Mexiko unter Quauhtemoc endet der Bericht, der mit bekannten Daten verglichen wird.

    Content: A new art of taking action is intended to activate urban societies and ensure participation-and is therefore a matter of political responsibility. This book examines the conditions and possibilities of these artistically initiated projects within urban space that are aimed at participation in shaping the city, thereby bringing together political activism, social work, and urban planning. It takes a look at the consequences of this mostly explorative and experimental urban practice for the creation of new fields of work for a variety of involved parties and their self-understanding. Supposed utopias are envisaged communally in these works and tested in realistic conditions. Art becomes a collective process, a shared urban practice. The focus is therefore no longer on merely dealing with and illustrating topics, but on widespread action targeted towards change. It is therefore about action instead of negotiation, about art as communal urban design
    Content: Wie kann kollektive Stadtgestaltung organisiert und Teilhabe daran ermöglicht werden? Künstlerisch initiierte Projekte im urbanen Raum liefern ganz unterschiedliche Antworten auf diese Frage. In diesem Buch werden die Bedingungen und Möglichkeiten einer neuen Kunst des Handelns an der Schnittstelle zu politischem Aktivismus, sozialer Arbeit und städtischer Planung vorgestellt, die Stadtgesellschaften aktivieren und Beteiligung garantieren soll und sich damit in politischer Verantwortung befindet. Gefragt wird nach den Konsequenzen der zumeist explorativen und experimentellen Schnittstellenpraxis für das Entstehen von neuen Arbeitsfeldern diverser Akteure und deren Selbstverständnis. Vermeintliche Utopien werden in diesen Arbeiten gemeinschaftlich imaginiert und im Realversuch getestet. Hierbei wird Kunst jenseits des Werkbegriffs zu einem kollektiven Prozess, zu einer gemeinsamen urbanen Praxis. Somit steht nicht mehr die reine Verhandlung von Themen und deren Sichtbarmachung im Fokus, sondern eine auf Veränderung gerichtete Handlung von Vielen.
