Content: On land transportation vehicles play major role in governmental, nongovernmental organization and individuals for moving goods and peoples. Which used to increase, economy development on the individuals and nations, quality of education, healthcare and other benefit's. But due to vehicles accident countries loss big amount of capital, manpower, and additionally influence negative impact on the healthcare. Vehicle accident injures all age groups. This research is done to provide way to solve this existing problem through sensor fusion. Information fusion provides an important role of any system electrical, electromechanical, biomedical, and any other filed of science and technology. In this research, the main parameters are heartbeat, body temperature, speed and load of the vehicle. The mathematical models of heartbeat are selected by comparing different models from past research [1], [2], [3], [4] and [5]. And the model of body temperature is also selected from past research [6], [7] and [8]. The speed is investigated based on Newton second law of motion on upward, down ward, and on the strait line. Since most of Loads of the vehicle are big, four active metallic strain gauges are used to measure the load of the vehicle. Body temperature of the driver, speed and load of the vehicle are filtered by extended kalman filter. Due to the hard nonlinearity property of heartbeat, it did not filter by extended kalman filter. Then dynamic and linear artificial neural network are designed to track the biological status of the driver and vehicle dynamics respectively. Finally, hierarchical structure, of Bayesian sensor fusion technique is used. These are checked by three Coues that are low, medium and high risk of accident depending on the average traffic accident rule and regulation

Content: Background: Oropharyngeal Candidiasis (OPC) is the most frequent opportunistic fungal infection of the oral cavity in HIV infected patients. OPC is associated with increased morbidity and mortality in immunosuppressed patients. However, data on Species distribution and antifungal susceptibility profiles of yeast isolated from HIV-infected patients in Ethiopia is limited. Objective: The aim of the study was to determine the spectrum of Oropharyngeal yeast isolates from HIV patients and to evaluate antifungal drug susceptibility profile of yeast isolates to commonly used antifungal drugs. Method: A cross sectional study was conducted in Zewditu Memorial Hospital, Addis Ababa. Oral swabs were collected from 224 HIV patients and cultured on Sabouraud Dextrose Agar with chloramphenicol. All the isolates were characterized to a species level following standard microbiological techniques. The antifungal susceptibility profiles of all yeast were determined using disk diffusion method. Result: Of 224 HIV patients screened, 139 (62.1%) were colonized by yeasts. The rate of colonization is higher in patients that non HAART than HAART initiated (72.3% versus 51.8%). A total of 155 yeasts were isolated of which 153 (98.7%) were accounted by Candida consisting of five species and 2(1.3%) non-candida yeasts. Out of all isolates C. albicans was the most frequently isolated species accounting 68.4% followed by C. glabrata (15.5%) and C. tropicalis (11%). The Antifungal susceptibility pattern of the yeast isolates for Fluconazole, ketoconazole, Amphotericin B, Clotrimazole, Nystatin and Miconazole showed a resistance of 12.3%, 8.4%, 5.8%, 2.6%, 1.3%, and 0.6% respectively. C. albicans were 5.7% resistant to ketoconazole and 6.6% resistant to Fluconazole. C. glabrata and C. tropicalis were 12.5% and 17.6% resistant to ketoconazole and 16.6% and 35.3% resistant to fluconazole respectively Conclusion: The spectrum of yeast isolated in the present study was relatively high even if C. albicans was the predominantly isolated yeast. The results of this study also revealed that development of drug resistance by yeast isolates were considerable. Isolation, characterization and evaluating drug susceptibility pattern of the isolates in this hospital in particular and in health institutions through out of the country in general is recommended.

Content: Background: Undernutrition and anemia in children continues to be public health problem in developing countries. Large scale implementation of anthelminthics delivered through school system can significantly reduce infection and morbidity among school children with improvement in growth status and reduction in prevalence of anemia. Objective: To determine the magnitude of anemia and growth status among public school children in setting of mass deworming in Sululta town, Oromia region ,Ethiopia,2017. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from April to June 2017 in three randomly selected public schools in Sululta town. A total of 510 students aged 5-14 years were included conveniently. Socio-economic and demographic factors as well as food frequency data were collected using structured questionnaire. Anthropometric measurements such as height and weight were carried out and analyzed using WHO Anthroplus v1.0.4. Complete blood count was performed using Sysmex KX-21N automated analyzer. Stool samples were processed using direct wet mount, formol ether concentration and Kato-katz methods. Moreover, H.Pylori stool antigen test was also performed. Data was entered and analyzed using SPSS version 21 software. Bivariate and multivariate analyses were computed to assess association between variables .The odds ratio and 95% CI were calculated to assess the strength of the association and P-value5). The associations of deworming with anemia and growth status were insignificant. Conclusion: The magnitude of anemia, stunting and thinness was low. None of the variables including deworming were associated with anemia and similarly with growth status except for family size. Thus further longitudinal study should be conducted.
