This collection of works is the product of the project that took place in 2021-2022 in Kyiv. It focuses on the still underexplored issues of architecture and urban planning of the 1980s. It was during this period that the processes affecting urban realities of modern/ist cities and determinant for them in the coming years were took shape, namely: the humanizatoin of urban planning, "postmodernization" of architecturel forms, regulation of historical zones, and the plurality of actors who entered the scene of urban planning. We open this topic to Ukrainian readers and share with the international community the experiences of Kyiv, Lviv, and various countries of the Socialist Bloc.
