Abstract: The objective of this study is to find suitable weight quantity of organic material and retention time of acid mine drainage (AMD) treatment in column experiment. Hopefully the study will assist the miners to reduce the maintenance and operating cost after the treatment. The study using experimental column was carried out in the laboratory to investigate the effectiveness of organic material in treating acid mine drainage. Four different organic material weights were used; 50 g, 100 g, 200 g and 300 g. Five different retention times for each weights were used; 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes and 75 minutes. Analysis results showed that pH value of water sample had increased between 3.2 and 7.2 after the treatment. The lowest sulphate and sulphur contents after treatment were 967 mg/L at retention time of 75 minutes and 607 mg/L at retention time of 15 minutes respectively. Both experiments used 50 g organic material.

Abstract: In this project, the different locations of the quadruple P-spiral split ring resonator (MI-SRR) structure are embedded in the basic rectangular patch antenna. It started with a basic rectangular microstrip patch antenna that simulated in CST Microwave Studio software. After that, four different locations (Location A, Location B, Location C and Location D) of QPS-SRR had chosen to compare its performance of return loss, resonant frequency, surface current radiation pattern, and gain. Location A is representing the antenna with the QPS-SRR at the center part of the patch while Location B has the QPS-SRR at the upper part of the FR-4 substrate. For the Location C and Location D represent the antenna with MI-SRR at the ground at antenna with MI-SRR at the other layer, respectively. Compared with the basic rectangular antenna with only – 27.082 dB, the best return loss was reached by Location A with - 34.199 dB with resonant frequency at 2.390 GHz, while the Location C only shifted the minor value to 2.394 GHz with only - 25.13 dB.

Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the world since early 2020 has also affected the education system in Malaysia. The push for change across all aspects of schooling, including Islamic co-curricular activities in schools, necessitated implementation according to the new norm, namely online. This study uses a qualitative approach aimed at exploring the types of Islamic co-curriculum practices and identifying the challenges of online implementation in secondary schools in the Putrajaya locality. Eleven Islamic activity coordinator teachers were selected using the purposive sampling technique. Data collected through interviews were analyzed thematically using ATLAS.ti version 9.0 software. The results of the study found that four types of school Islamic co-curricular activity are implemented namely lecture, religious practice, contest, and modular activity. The main challenges in implementation are internet access problems, interaction limitations, student motivation, digital device ownership, and technical skills. Therefore, to ensure that the implementation of the Islamic co-curriculum has a positive impact on students, these problems need to be adequately addressed. For the future study, it is a need to examine quantitatively the impact of online Islamic co-curriculum activities on students.

Abstract: Nanofibrous structures/buildings offer many interesting features due to their large spacious surface area. This makes them promising through various applications, especially water management. This new generation of large-membered/poous membranes shows great hope that it can be used in a variety of partition systems due to its outstanding features such as surprisingly high porosity (≥ 90%) and connected 3D pore structure, as compared to standard techniques. This article reviews updates of electrospun nanofibrous layers (ENMs) with some highlights of recent achievements, issues, and future ideas for water treatment. To begin with, the basic principles of electrospinning were discussed. The use of ENMs in thin-film composite membranes (TFC) in pressure-driven procedures for water treatment is introduced. The new use of ENMs in the membrane distillation (MD) process is hotly discussed. Deductions, conclusions and opinions are expressed in terms of recent developments.

Abstract: This work presents an investigation on the performance of CO2absorption into aqueous alkanolamine solution using a hollow fiber membrane gas–liquid contactor. Aqueous solution of ethanolamine (MEA), diethanolamine (DEA), 2–amino–2–methyl–1–propanol (AMP) and piperazine anhydrous (PZ) were chosen as the absorption liquids. A microporous hollow fiber membrane made of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) was used as the medium for gasliquid absorption process. In this study, the operating temperature is fixed at 30°C, while the flowrate of CO2 and alkanolamine were in the range of 1000–5000 ml/min and 50–280 ml/min respectively. The feed gas was introduced directly to the shell of the module at 1–1.5 bar and the liquid flowed through the fiber lumen side. The CO2 transfer through the membrane was found to be reaction controlled and dependent on the type of amine used. The use of piperazine as an accelerator in the mixture of the absorption liquids gives a good impact on increasing the performance for the rate of CO2 transfer.

Abstract: Drilling fluid is the key component to drill oil and gas wells. The rheological behavior of drilling fluid will be affected when drilling deep wells especially at high temperature and high pressure reservoir. This research was conducted to study the effect of the nanoparticles over the rheological properties of the drilling fluid when aging at high temperature condition. Several drilling fluids were prepared using synthetic based fluids (Sarapar and Saraline) to study the effect of multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) at different concentrations. The rheological properties of drilling fluid were analyzed after aging at 250 °F and 350 °F for 16 hours. The results revealed that the addition of MWCNT improved the 10-sec gel strength by 33% and filtrate loss volume was reduced to 10% after aging at 250°F in Saraline drilling fluid. Moreover, the plastic viscosity of Saraline and Sarapar drilling fluid after addition of MWCNT was enhanced by 6% and 27% at 350 °F. Filtrate loss volume of Sarapar drilling fluid was reduced by 19 % after aging at 250 °F for 16 hours. The overall results showed that the addition of MWCNT into the drilling fluid have slightly improved the rheological properties of drilling fluids under high temperature conditions.
