Dieser wohnt in Nottingham und arbeitet vor Ort als psychologischer Gutachter und Berater für die Polizei. Er bekommt es mit dem Tod eines jungen Mädchens zu tun, das ermordet und missbraucht in einem Waldstück in Nottingham aufgefunden wird. Cyrus unterstützt die Polizei und erkennt, dass im familiären Umfeld fast jeder seine Geheimnisse hütet. Zudem fordert ihn auch eine weitere Baustelle in seinem Leben. Er bekommt es über einen Kollegen mit der jungen Evie zu tun. Diese wurde als Entführungsopfer in einem Haus neben ihrem gefolterten Peiniger aufgefunden. Cyrus nimmt sich ihrer an und muss erkennen, dass es auch in Evies Geschichte einige dunkle Geheimnisse gibt. "Schweige still" ist ein Reihenauftakt nach Maß. Psychologisch dicht, spannend und abwechslungsreich erzählt Robotham seine Geschichte, die wohltuenderweise auf krasse Gewaltexzesse verzichtet. Ein stimmiges Buch, das in den Krimigrundbestand gehört.
