(10 min, 1080i). * Music by Charles Chaplin - in this video interview, composer and conductor Timothy Brock discusses the scores Chaplin composed for his early films and his approach to harmonization, as well as his own restoration work on these scores. Mr. Brock also discusses Chaplin's unique relationship with his musical associates, including David Raksin, Edward Powell, Alfred Newman, Max Terr, and others. The interview was recorded exclusively for Criterion in 2012. In English, not subtitled. In this program, created by Criterion, Brownlow and Chaplin biographer Jeffrey Vance recount the journey of this comic masterpiece. In English, not subtitled.
