Abstract: Fluor bildet bei nicht zu hoher Temperatur mit Kohlenstoff eines jeden Ordnungsgrades eine feste Valenzverbindung der Grenzzusammensetzung CF; sie wird durch Sättigen z. B. sauerstofffreien Norits bei 280° mit Fluor von 25 mm Druck und von Graphit bei 420° mit Fluor unter 760 mm Druck erhalten. In der Verbindung sind zwischen die Basisebenen des Graphits auf je zwei C‐Atome zwei Fluorionen eingebaut. Die Struktur, die physikalischen und chemischen Eigenschaften des Fluorids werden mitgeteilt. Bei höheren Temperaturen entstehen aus Norit und Graphit, und natürlich auch CF, gasförmige C‐Fluoride. Ihre Bildungsweise wird klargestellt, ihre Zusammensetzung in Abhängigkeit von den Bildungsbedingungen ermittelt.
