Wie gut, dass es noch Averys bekannte Schriftstellermutter und Betts couragierte Oma gibt, die den beiden gegen den Willen der Väter viel gemeinsame Zeit ermöglichen! Wie in "Short" gelingt der Autorin wieder "ein mutmachendes Buch für Kinder, die eigenen Talente zu entdecken und zu sich selbst zu finden" (Rez. Renate Schattel). Das Cover spiegelt sehr gut den originellen E-Mail-Austausch, der die Handlung dynamisch vorantreibt, wider und tut so sein Übriges, um Leserinnen ab 10 zu diesem Sommerroman mit Tiefgang greifen zu lassen
