After the Great Depression and the Great Stagflation, new macroeconomic paradigms associated with a new policy regime emerged. This book addresses how some macroeconomic ideas have failed, and examines which theories researchers should preserve and develop. It questions how the field of economics - still reeling from the global financial crisis initiated in the summer of 2007 - will respond

Money, public finances and role of the state , The central focus of this book is the relationship between money, the sphere of production, and the State. It explores how best to adapt the fundamental ideas of the circulationist perspective to achieve a better understanding of the financialisation of the production processes within contemporary capitalist economies. Importantly, the expert contributors illustrate that the true challenge ahead is to address how these new emerging forms can be eventually tamed, a challenge that the recent financial crisis has forcefully proven essential. This book will prove an illuminating read for scholars and researchers in the heterodox economics domain

-- "This conference is part of a series of events devoted to art theory: an introductory round table in April 2009 on the problem organized in Paris by Milovan Stanic (University of Paris IV) at the German Center for Art History in Paris, and a symposium on the theory of figurative arts in Saint Petersburg (direction Milovan Stanic) in 2010. It is exclusively devoted to architecture from the Renaissance to the present day, as an extension of the CESR Architectura research program, one of the bases of which is devoted to architectural books (16th-17th century). At the same time as 'antique' architecture, the Renaissance saw the rebirth of the theory of architecture. Whether glosses of the Vitruvian treaty or autonomous enterprises, the treaties flourish, from De re ædificatoria d'Alberti (Florence, 1485) to the Idea della architettura universale de Scamozzi (Venice, 1615), in passing by the work of Serlio, the largest editorial enterprise in Cinquecento, the Regola de Vignole (Rome, 1562), which has been repeatedly reissued, and the Quattro libri d'Architettura by Palladio (Venice, 1570). All these works formalize a practice of the art of building, the mental representations of which remained implicit in the Middle Ages, limited to the traditional transmissions of know-how within corporations. They were often reissued, read and meditated throughout the 17th and 18th centuries; and they still marked the teaching of the School of Fine Arts at the beginning of the 20th century. How did the theory developed in the Renaissance treatises contribute to shaping the architectural thought of architects of the following centuries? This is the question to which the speakers, architectural historians, architects and contemporary critics, will try to provide some answers."

Written by research leaders, the chapters summarize and evaluate recent advances while explaining where further research might be profitable.
