Nach Safran in "Engel verzweifelt gesucht" (BA 5/03) und Indigo in "Das muss unser Glückstag sein" (BA 4/05) steht nun Rosa als Nesthäkchen der englischen Künstlerfamilie im Mittelpunkt der Erzählung. Das 8-jährige Mädchen sehnt sich nach ihrem Freund Tom, der in die USA zurückkehren musste. Rosa versteht nicht, warum sich Tom bei den Cassons nicht meldet. Als sie nicht mehr länger auf ein Wort von ihm warten will, kommt der treuen und mutigen Rosa der Zufall zu Hilfe: Sie kann mit ihrem Vater nach New York fliegen und Tom dort tatsächlich treffen. Neben Rosas Geschichte wird die ihrer Geschwister weiter gesponnen: Indigo freundet sich mit seinem Mitschüler David an, der ihn bis vor Kurzem drangsaliert hat. Safran sucht weiter nach ihrem Vater und findet ihn tatsächlich. Die warmherzige, bezaubernde Familiengeschichte der mehrfach ausgezeichneten Autorin beeindruckt wie die Vorgängerbände durch eine dichte und unmittelbare Erzählweise. Der Roman steckt voller Überraschungen und ist mit seinen mal ernsthaften, mal witzigen Passagen kurzweilig zu lesen. Unbedingt (zur Fortsetzung) empfohlen!. - Rosa vermisst Tom, der in die USA zurückkehren musste. Warum meldet er sich mit keinem Wort? Die tatkräftige und mutige Rosa will nicht länger warten und macht sich auf die Suche ... Ab 12.
