Tobias Philipp kombiniert die Theorien Bruno Latours und Harrison Whites, um mit ihrer Hilfe das interdisziplinäre Feld der Netzwerkforschung in den soziologischen Blick zu nehmen. An einem typischen Artikel arbeitet er beispielhaft dortige Argumentationsstrukturen qualitativ heraus und vervollständigt diese Eindrücke mit einer quantitativen Analyse der Rezeption des Artikels.
