Rahmstorf, Klimaforscher am Potsdam-Institut für Klimafolgenforschung und Prof. für Physik der Ozeane (Uni. Potsdam; vgl. "Der Klimawandel", BA 6/06) hat mit einer Meeresökologin (Uni Aarhus) den gegenwärtigen Zustand und die zukünftige Situation der Ozeane mit den bisherigen Befunden des Klimawandels verknüpft und Wechselwirkungen aufgezeigt. Das hochkomplexe System Meer mit seinen ökologischen Bedingungen und Stoffkreisläufen ist hier auf eindrucksvolle Weise verständlich dargestellt. Reihenüblich (vgl. W. Mauser [Wasser] und H.-J. Wagner [Energien] in dieser Nr.) mit Kapitelzusammenfassung, Glossar sowie Tabellen und Diagrammen. Es ist kein Vergleichstitel bekannt. Ideale Ergänzungen zu diesem vordringlich anzuschaffenden Titel sind: St. Hutchinson: "Ozeane" (Text-Bild-Band mit breiter Themenpalette; BA 12/05), "Weltatlas der Ozeane" (Lebens- und Wirtschaftsraum Meer; 3.
