Abstract:
An den chinesischen Universitäten ist heute das Anfertigen von Plagiaten so weit verbreitet, dass das wissenschaftliche Niveau nicht nur hinter den vom europäisch-amerikanischen Wissenschaftsverständnis herangetragenen Ansprüchen zurückbleiben muss, sondern zunehmend auch Bemühungen der chinesischen Bildungspolitik gefährdet werden, durch die verstärkte Besinnung auf Integrität, Eigenständigkeit und Unabhängigkeit die Qualität einheimischer akademischer Forschung zu verbessern. Ausgehend von den Erfahrungen deutscher Lektoren in der universitären Unterrichtspraxis versucht der Beitrag, die spezifischen kulturellen und materiellen Bedingungen zu rekonstruieren, die in China die Plagiatsanfertigung offenbar in besonderer Weise begünstigen. Im zweiten Teil wird ausführlich dargestellt, mit welchen Mitteln staatlicherseits auf die Entwicklung reagiert wird. Abgeschlossen wird die Analyse durch die kommentierte Darstellung eines exemplarischen Plagiatsfalls.
