    Series Statement: Texts Contexts
Content: In this volume contributors from various social locations in North America, Asia, Europe, and Australia analyse and interpret Pauline letters. Engaging both the biblical text and the lives and contexts from different sociocultural, religious, methodological perspectives, each contributor demonstrates the dynamic interaction between text and context in their understanding and explanation of the text. The first part of the volume highlights the hermeneutical focus in interpretation. That is, how a certain chosen worldview (e.g., Lutheran liturgical worldview) affects one's decision in prioritizing a certain textual dimension and level instead of others. Part Two elucidates how even a technical analysis of the text (e.g., epistolography) is context-oriented. Part Three shows how such a contemporary contextual interpretation is also an intercontextual and intertextual interpretation that entails intersectional and global-local experiences
Content: "Addresses the sociocultural, religious, and ideological issues of both the text and the interpreters in their interpretations of the Pauline letters"--

Series Statement: Routledge studies in nineteenth-century philosophy
Content: "The book explains Fichte's position on free will and predestination, including its rationale and significance. It argues that Fichte affirms both free will and predestination and explains how he purports to do so without contradiction. The book presents Fichte's position as a form of compatibilism that has not yet been explored in the literature. Due to early rationalist convictions, Fichte is as much concerned with reconciling freedom with a logical and a theological determinism as he is with a causal determinism. He sees in Kant's novel concept of a pure practical reason a new form of rationalism, one consisting of a system of moral rather than natural necessitating grounds. At the same time, he adopts a more radically libertarian stance on free will than Kant. Every member in a sequence of free actions is a "first and absolute member" and could be other than it is given the same antecedent natural events and natural laws. The interest of Fichte as a theorist of freedom lies in how he brings together freedom and predetermination in a way that challenges our assumption about their mutual exclusivity. The book provides an overview of Fichte's philosophical system-the so-called "Doctrine of Science"-from 1793-1800 with the aim of contextualizing his theory of free agency and destiny. In doing so, it sheds light on how consideration of these issues in turn shapes the system. Fichte on Free Will and Predestination will be of interest to scholars and advanced students working on Fichte's philosophy, the history of modern philosophy, German Idealism, and the history of the philosophical issue of free will"--

Content: Family business is the backbone of the global economy, as they account for seventy to ninety percent of all businesses worldwide. Although research on family business started in 1960's, much of the extant literature is still based on data from the West. Examining beyond this limited context is especially important, as Asia has a vast variety of ethnicities, cultures and values influencing how families in business behave. In Asian Family Business Case Studies, specialists from around the globe offer detailed case studies covering a variety of topics including succession planning, conflict resolution, overcoming COVID 19, values and identity, CSR, green innovation, sustainability, internationalization, transformation, family relation, communications, and entrepreneurship. With insider case stories gathered firsthand from real family businesses owned and managed by Asian families around the world, this collection provides in-depth insights to academicians, students, family business managers/owners/successors, and practitioners. Each chapter is a standalone case study on a family business with a specific theme. At the end of each chapter, questions are provided to prompt discussions for learning purposes.

Series Statement: Research and resources in language teaching
Content: Confident Speaking provides language teachers and teacher educators with evidence-informed ideas to help second language (L2) learners speak fluently and confidently in different social and academic contexts. Christine C. M. Goh and Xuelin Liu, thought leaders in the field of language education, draw on scholarly literature and their own experience to show language teachers how to apply insights from research and theory in everyday classroom teaching. They offer 80 hands-on activities to help learners develop speaking skills through fluency practice and language-focused activities, and tap into their metacognitive thinking to adopt strategies for facilitating oral communication. Also included is guidance for teachers in designing lessons and larger units of work with the activities and carrying out professional inquiry activities into their own practice of teaching L2 speaking. This book is a valuable resource for language teachers and teacher educators, as well as researchers interested in the teaching and development of second language speaking.
