    Content: Cette thèse est consacrée à la réception de la peinture française en Pologne au XVIIIe siècle. Evoquer dans un premier temps le contexte historique est essentiel à la compréhension des rapports artistiques franco-polonais. Deux facteurs favorisent l'introduction du goût français en Pologne : l'approfondissement des relations diplomatiques entre les deux pays et l'internationalisation de la culture française, dès le XVIIe siècle. L'étude des acteurs et de leur personnalité permet ensuite de dégager les caractères et spécificités de la scène culturelle polonaise du XVIIIe siècle. La question des œuvres françaises en Pologne occupe le second temps de l'étude. L'analyse de deux collections polonaises, celles du roi de Pologne, Stanislas Auguste, et d'un historien d'art polonais, Stanislas Kostka Potocki, montre le choix et la place des peintures françaises dans ces collections. L'intérêt se porte enfin sur le rôle de la peinture française dans la création artistique polonaise du XVIIIe siècle, selon une double approche théorique et pratique. L'influence de la théorie de l'art française se mesure dans le projet de création d'une Académie des Beaux-Arts à Varsovie sous le règne de Stanislas Auguste. Les ateliers créés par les artistes français actifs en Pologne et la diffusion des peintures françaises participent aussi à la formation des peintres polonais. La peinture française est enfin au service de la Pologne. Elle peut être aussi utilisée à des des fins de propagande, agrémenter les résidences polonaises, ou encore servir de témoin de la société polonaise. L'idée de réception permet ainsi de cerner les formes et les enjeux de la peinture française en Pologne au XVIIIe siècle
    Content: This thesis is devoted to the perception of French painting in the eighteenth century Poland. In order to understand the artistic links between France and Poland, it is essential to summarize the historical context of the period. Two factors promote the introduction of French taste in the eignteenth century Poland : stronger diplomatic relationship between the two countries and the internationalization of the French culture, since the seventeenth century. Studying the actors and their personality also helps us to highlight the specificities of the Polish cultural scene. The second part of this study is focused on the French painting in Poland. The analysis of two Polish collections - Stanislas August's and Stanislas Kostka Potocki's - shows the choice and position of the French paintings in these collections. The last part will determine what role the French painting plays in the eighteenth century polish Art production. French artistical theory partly influences the project of an Academy of Fine Arts in Varsaw during Stanislas August's reign. Polish painters are also used in Poland to show off the government's power, to decorate Polish residences, or to serve as a witness of the Polish society. The idea of perception determines therefore the forms and issues of the French painting in the eighteenth century Poland

    Content: This study presents an overview of the natural painting in the field of the Portuguese stylistics and iconography during modern period and more mainly for almost two centuries, XVII and XVIII centuries. It shows an art of the landscape and the still life at the same time dependent on European tendencies and autonomous by its constant nearness in the national historic and cultural context. The interdisciplinary approach, by bringing to light the Portuguese spirit and throught in a period of shocks, tends to reconsider the speech of the historians on the subordination of the Portuguese art in that of Spain. The nature through the study of the Portuguese paintings seems more original, endowed with feelings peculiar to a nation. The nature is, according to forms and different modes, a shape of expression of extreme feelings. The sign of an idealized nature, sometimes image of perfection, sometimes image of terror, reveals a grammar for which constructions integrate into this highly codified system of communication that is variety. These peculiarities characterize paintings of XVII as XVIII century. There is thus a real artistic tendency, which continued in the art of the nature of Portugal. That is why a separation of art of XVII and XVIII century, in that case precise, loses totally of its sense direction. The Portuguese history distinguishes itself from the French history. While this last one sets a period of absolutism and other one of the openmindedness, the second underlines two consecutive periods of permanent disorders after a century of gold and glory. XVI century is indeed a significant period for Portugal. It conditioned all the spirit of the people for centuries. These directions of research introduce again questionings on the validity of a term today problematic in France, that is the "baroque". In Portugal, the qualifier is used to characterize this long period of a part of XVII and XVIII centuries. It seemed to us more adapted to keep the "baroque" term to this period for which the slices of dates are not important and in the course of which natural was synonymic of feelings, passions, affects and extremely codified intelligent art. Without imposing the Portuguese painters on the side of the great masters of painting, as the Caravaggio or Poussin, our work allows to reconsider an art still unknown and too odten judjed without highly interest
