Abstract:
The Women’s Euro in England in the summer of 2022 could be a turning point in the history of women’s soccer. Indeed, attendance has never been so high, both in the stadiums and in front of the television sets. This media success is largely due to the quality of the game played by the European teams, which have shown clear progress in many areas. Although one must be careful not to jump to conclusions, the success of this Euro has undoubtedly allowed English women’s soccer to lay the foundations for a strong development at the amateur level and to really professionalize the top level.
