Eindrucksvoll sind die Kurzporträts des österreichischen Biografen Friedrich Weissensteiner über die Frauen bekannter Komponisten, Schriftsteller und Wissenschaftler (Buch: BA 1/02). Dies vor allem durch die Parallelen, die sich im Leben der ansonsten sehr verschiedenen Frauen aufzeigen lassen. Immer wieder tauchen Sätze auf wie "überaus glücklich", "große Harmonie", später dann "sie ist viel allein" und am Schluss "bleibt der Trauerzeremonie fern". Die Frauen leisteten allesamt "Schattenarbeit", verzichteten auf eine eigene künstlerische oder andere Karriere, hielten durch, wurden am Ende vergessen, abgelegt, verlassen (Christiane Vulpius-Goethe, Mileva Einstein) oder waren unermüdlich in ihrer Unterstüzung aus dem Hintergrund (Cosima Wagner, Katia Mann). Deutlich werden auch die engen gesellschafltichen Konventionen, die die Frauen in ihrer Abhängigkeit verharren ließen (mit Ausnahme vielleicht der eigenwilligen Alma Mahler-Werfel). Die CD-Ausgabe wirft einen äußerst spannenden, nicht immer positiven Blick auf die private Seite der "Genies". Gern empfohlen.
