    Content: Dieses Buch zeigt in wenigen skizzierenden Strichen das Wesen des Yoga auf und wo sich keltisches und indisches Wissen treffen. Es handelt von der großen Bedeutung der Bäume für das menschliche Wachstum und enthält im Hauptteil zwölf Monografien einzelner - mit Ausnahme des Pipal durchweg europäischer - Baumarten mit den zugeordneten Übungsreihen und Meditationen. Letztere entstammen der Fülle der Übungen und Techniken, die Yogi Bhajan seine SchülerInnen lehrte, seit er 1969 aus Indien in den Westen kam. Die Zuordnung einzelner Übungen zu europäischen Baumarten ist natürlich nicht altindisch, sondern das Resultat der Inspiration, der Erfahrung und der sorgfältigen Prüfung seitens der Autoren dieses Buches. Ein inspirierendes Übungsbuch, das die Energien der Bäume auf eindringliche, heilsame und völlig neue Art und Weise erfahrbar macht.
    Note: Satya Singh wurde 1949 in Haarlem, Niederlande geboren. Nach einem langen und schmerzhaften Prozess der Sinn-Findung entdeckte er mit großer Erleichterung den Weg des Kundalini-Yoga und studierte ab 1974 Kundalini-Yoga als direkter Schüler bei Yogi Bhajan (bis zu Yogi Bhajans Abschied von dieser Welt im Jahre 2004). 1990 erschien von ihm "Das Kundalini-Yoga Handbuch für die Gesundheit von Körper, Geist und Seele", ein Standardwerk über Kundalini-Yoga, das in vier Sprachen übersetzt worden ist, und 2000 "Der Reif", ein Yoga-Roman, der eine spannende Entwicklungsgeschichte durch Yoga beschreibt und auf Zypern und im Himalaya spielt. Satya Singh unterrichtet zusammen mit einem von ihm geleiteten Team von AusbilderInnen Kundalini-Yoga-LehrerInnen in zehn verschiedenen Städten in Deutschland und in verschiedenen Ländern Europas. Fred Hageneder erforscht seit 1980 die Bäume ethnobotanisch, d.h. ihre Kulturgeschichte, Mythologie und Religion. Bücher von ihm wurden in bisher neun Sprachen übersetzt. Fred Hageneder ist Mitgründer der Ancient Yew Group ("Uralte Eiben-Gruppe") und Mitglied von SANASI, einer internationalen Gruppe von Wissenschaftlern, die "geweihte natürliche Stätten" in aller Welt dokumentieren. Fred Hageneder komponiert außerdem Musik für verschiedene Baumarten.
