Manuscript included, The Masque or Pageant To conclude the Opera of Jack of Newbury, in lieu of the Finale sent with the Original Copy. April 1795 (endorsement in hand of Larpent). Compared to the Songs, Choruses, &c., in Jack of Newbury, 1795 (Kemble-Devonshire Collection 258) some songs in the manuscript were not printed. John Payne Collier in his copy of Biographia Dramatica: [referring to entry in Biographia Dramatica] states 'It was not originally so concluded: the copy sent to the licenser had merely a finale and afterwards the intention being changed what was called 'a Hymeneal Pageant' was substituted'. Both were among Larpent's manuscripts
