Content: This book presents a critical analysis of anti-dumping laws enforced by the World Trade Organisation. Anti-dumping laws are the most debatable provisions of the WTO, which, though legally permitted, have a significant distorting effect on trade. They are also often used as a non-tariff barrier to trade in the form of regulatory protectionism. The book brings forth the philosophical, conceptual and practical flaws of international anti-dumping laws, and establishes a case for the repealing of such laws. Furthermore, it proposes the replacement of these laws with international competition law. In doing so, it also demonstrates the ascendancy of international competition law over anti-dumping laws, and discusses India's take on anti-dumping laws and their incorporation in domestic regulations

Content: "At the close of the 20th century, this series of 10 volumes recording the century's most significant architectural achievements and covering all parts of the world will be published. Altogether 1000 buildings and urban complexes have been selected by noted architectural writers and critics. Within each volume, one hundred significant examples represent the political, economical, cultural and demographic evolution of the particular region over the century. The evident complexity of the enterprise cannot entirely exclude a few arbitrary choices. Not only does the selection procedure reflect individual choices, but also the division of the globe into transnational regions of vastly differing size and character evokes a specific appearance of World Architecture. Thus this architectural collection is to be understood as a critical mosaic representing as a whole the entire evolution of World Architecture from 1900 to 2000. -- Wilfried Wang."
Content: "'World Architecture 1900-2000' records the major architectural contributions made in all regions of the world to the development of human culture. Grouped into ten geographical regions and representing five twenty-year-periods, the buildings have been selected by over 75 internationally acknowledged architectural critics. Each volume features 100 buildings, each object accompanied by an analytical text as well as by drawings and photographs. Introductionary essays by the editors complete the survey. Renowned Chief Editors Kenneth Frampton and Zhang Qinnan stand for highest quality. This indispensable source of reference covers the world's most notable 20th century buildings in 10 volumes. It gives a most precise and authoritative description of 1000 famous objects."
Content: Countries: Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, Yemen and the United Arab Emirates.
Note: EDITORIAL NOTE: "This book series is organized by the Architectural Society of China (ASC) and endorsed by the International Union of Architects (UIA) in coordination with the XX World Architects Congress convened in June 1999 in Beijing, China, and published by the China Architecture & Building Press (CABP), and Springer-Verlag." -- Page [v]
