Das Buch offenbart das ungeprüfte Potenzial der Praxis der Schöpferinnen, die zugeschriebenen Zentren, um die herum die sozialen Arrangements strukturiert sind, zu destabilisieren, zu dezentrieren und zu zerstören.     Inhalt: Sustainable agricultural production is vital for food security and agricultural productivity. It is greatly influenced by weather and climate conditions. This book focuses on understanding weather and climate systems and crop yield productions, including integrated weather-crop prediction systems for climate risk management in agriculture. It examines the impact of climate change and its variability on different crops, and possible ways to minimize the loss for farmers. This book also describes different weather and climate hazards, including the fundamentals of weather/climate prediction systems and numerical weather prediction (NWP) models. It presents the need for seamless weather/climate predictions and their impact on agriculture. The status and availability of different monthly and seasonal scale forecasts worldwide is explored and how the forecasting models or products can be evaluated using statistical methods. The book concisely elucidates systematic model bias removal techniques and a reliable approach based on multi-statistics in producing a single forecast from the multi-model grand ensemble. Since crop models need daily weather sequence, several standard disaggregation methods for generating daily weather sequences from monthly/seasonal products are presented. This book describes several aspects that are needed for agricultural practices and crop modelling. It encapsulates different components of crop models and their application, preparation methods of Crop Weather Calendar, application of disaggregated weather sequence in crop models, and generation of Climate Risk Matrices (CRM). A detailed methodology is presented for hands-on practice, including downloading and processing data, model evaluation and bias corrections, generating a single forecast, disaggregation, and preparing CRM based on crop model products.     Inhalt: This book explains the main problems of industrial wastewater treatments and how they are being treated by innovative biological processes. The need for clean water in developing countries has become difficult to achieve as a result of globalization and industrialization and because of an increase in population, urbanization, and per capita water use. Residential, commercial, industrial, and educational institutions produce immense amounts of wastewater. Wastewater is treated to extract toxins to produce processed effluent by physical, chemical, and biological processes. Most of these innovative treatment systems are membrane filtration, advanced oxidation processes, and electrochemical approaches, which are strongly committed to offering solutions to help protect public health and the environment. For wastewater treatment, different forms of bioreactors are used which are reliable, cost-efficient, and effective in removing a wide variety of contaminants. This book outlines the capacity of various bioreactors that are most widely used for the treatment of different industrial and domestic wastewater, such as a rotating biological contactor, biological fluidized bed reactor, packed bed reactor, membrane bioreactor, continuous stirred tank bioreactor, up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket reactor, and photobioreactor, etc. Despite this, the acceptance of these technologies and their commercialization on an industrial scale, the performance is still limited. Therefore, a broader use of cost-effective in situ remedial approaches to natural phenomena like bioremediation is needed. The role of numerous bioreactors in industrial effluent treatment has, including recent developments, also been explored in depth. Furthermore, it includes the operational factors affecting their performances, advances in their architectural design, their amalgamation with the existing setup, scale-up studies, life cycle assessment of those reactors, materials and cost analysis, etc. This information helps the reader to understand the insight into the mechanism, pros and cons, moreover efficient utilization, and commissioning of bioreactors. .

    Inhalt: This book offers a comparative study of the progress made by two regional economies with many similarities--India and South Africa-- in pursuit of human development by applying Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this effort, book traverses the stages in public policy from planning to implementation, and from reach to range, in pursuit of inclusive growth and well-being for all. The book includes cross-national qualitative as well as quantitative studies and deeper analyses of India, and South Africa in respect of long-term development goals. This book attempted to solve the following puzzle: despite the stupendous growth rate, why is India's performance lower than South Africa's in terms of human development indicators? This book addresses this puzzle by drawing attention to welfare approaches. These two countries have unique federal structures that uphold the unbalanced states together, and this book argues that uneven development challenges need asymmetric strategies, contrary to the axiom that the SDGs are indivisible. Further advancement of India and South Africa depends on transforming their quantity (large youth population) into quality (human capital). Both countries are also striving to create platforms to unleash human potential, which is critically examined.
