Abstract:
Wie Miniatur‐Schneebälle wirken neutrale Cluster aus einigen tausend Molekülen: Treffen sie mit ausreichender Geschwindigkeit auf eine Oberfläche, so können sie von dieser Biomoleküle wie Insulin ablösen. Weil die Cluster während und nach dem Aufprall auseinanderbrechen und verdampfen, stehen nach diesem mikroskopischen Schneeballwurf „nackte“ Biomolekülionen für massenspektrometrische Studien zur Verfügung. magnified image
