Die doppelseitigen Kapitel umfassen einen informativen und gut verständlichen Text (siehe von Valerie Guidoux "Woher kommt das Wasser?", BA 1/02), kleine Zeichnungen mit weiteren kurzen Informationen und die 2/3 der Seite einnehmenden Fotos des bekannten französischen Fotografen Gilles Martin. In vielen Stunden Arbeit gelangen ihm außergewöhnliche, beeindruckende, zum Teil sehr seltene oder bisher nie fotografierte Bilder der meist sehr kamerascheuen Vögel von hervorragender Qualität.
