Am Ende werden im Glossar die wichtigsten Begriffe erklärt und im Anhang die Lösungen für die Spielzüge im Buch. Zum schnelleren Finden wichtiger Begriffe beschließt ein Register das Buch. Im letzten Jahr ist "Das große Schachbuch für Kinder" (ID-A 22/16) erschienen, das durch die comicartigen Figuren kindlicher als die vorliegende Neuerscheinung gestaltet ist.
