Manuell Urxl ist der hässlichste, dreckigste, stinkendste und ekelerregendste Mensch, darin sind sich alle (mehr oder weniger sonderbaren) Bewohner von Bad Dreckskaff einig. Sein Rülpser hat verheerende Folgen, doch hat er aber auch sehr gute Gründe, warum er kein Wasser mag. Aber eines Tages stürzt sich der exzentrische Trillionär dann doch kopfüber in den mit Gift versetzten Dorfteich - und das Leben in Bad Dreckskaff nimmt vor allem für die Enten eine unerwartete Wendung! Skurriles Personal (z.B. klauender Polizeichef), Wortwitz und herrlich schräger Humor machen auch diesen Ardagh (vgl. die Eddie-Dickens-Trilogie; - der 1. Band "Schlimmes Ende", wurde 2003 mit dem Deutschen Jugendliteraturpreis ausgezeichnet) zu einem exzellenten Vor-Lesevergnügen; viele Zitate und Anspielungen erschliessen sich allerdings erst erwachsenen Fans des höheren Blödsinns.
