In diesem schmalen Ratgeber geht es um die Nachzucht von Gemüse aus Gemüseabfällen. Das Verfahren ist einfach, außer Wasser, Erde und Licht braucht es nicht viel und funktioniert auch auf der Fensterbank. Die junge Autorin, die mit anderen gemeinsam ein Internet-Portal zu Gartenthemen betreibt, beschreibt zunächst, wie die Idee entstanden ist und stellt den Zusammenhang zu Nachhaltigkeit und Recycling her. Dann erläutert sie das Prinzip der vegetativen Vermehrung und was bei Standort und Pflege zu beachten ist. In den Regrow-Anleitungen zu einzelnen Gemüse- und Obstsorten (u.a. Romano-Salat, Kartoffel, Lauch, verschiedene Kräuter, Ananas, Avocado und Mango) folgen nach Foto und kurzer Beschreibung der Pflanze eine Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung für die Anzucht und Tipps zu Ernte und Verwendung. Ein weiteres Kapitel behandelt die Pannenhilfe, im Anhang Serviceseiten mit weiterführender Literatur. Der Ratgeber liegt im Trend der Zero-Waste-Bewegung (vgl. "Zero Waste Kitchen", ID-A 24/18), ist gut verständlich und flott geschrieben und richtet sich an junge Menschen (Du-Anrede). Gern empfohlen.
