Rezension: Kurz nach der Reaktorkatastrophe von Tschernobyl im Mai 1986 beschloss der Deutsche Bundestag, Belange der Umwelt, des Naturschutzes und der Reaktorsicherheit in einem Bundesministerium zusammenzuführen (BMU). 39 "Umweltmacher" aus Politik, darunter W. Wallmann, K. Töpfer, A. Merkel, J. Trittin und S. Gabriel als bisherige bzw. amtierende Bundesminister für Umwelt, außerdem Vertreter aus Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Umweltverbänden äußern sich in dieser "Festschrift" mit kurzen Statements oder ausführlichen Abhandlungen zu einem breiten Spektrum der nationalen Umweltpolitik in Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft. Die deutsche Umweltpolitik muss sich, das wird hier deutlich, immer stärker als Teil der globalen Umweltpolitik verstehen und entsprechend agieren. Eine kritische Einführung, die die "langen Linien" zeichnet, und ein Register wären hier hilfreich gewesen. Die faktenreiche, illustrierte Zeitleiste (24 Seiten) und das staatsmännische Vorwort des Bundespräsidenten machen das nicht wett. Sinnvoll in Verbindung mit dem "Handbuch globale Umweltpolitik".
