Abstract:
Steigende Marktanforderungen veranlassen Unternehmen, branchenübergreifend ihre Produktionsstrukturen sowohl organisatorisch als auch räumlich in Form von Logistiknetzwerken zu dezentralisieren. Um unternehmerische Zielsetzungen, wie z. B. Kostenvorteile, unmittelbare Marktnähe, aber auch Absicherung der Produktion gegenüber Versorgungsrisiken, zu erreichen, werden die zu produzierenden Mengen auf häufig international verteilte Standorte aufgeteilt, an denen redundante Produktionsressourcen vorgehalten werden.
