Das Jüdische Krankenhaus ist einzigartig in seiner Geschichte; in seiner Kontinuität jüdischen Wirkens in Berlin - ein lebendiger Ort der Gegenwart, der zugleich an die Vergangenheit erinnert. So wurde es von den Nazis als Ort der Deportation mißbraucht, war für einige Wenige der Ort der Rückkehr in eine ungewisse Zukunft. Hier war die Keimzelle des Neubeginns, der Aufbruch nach dem Untergang. Ein historischer Ort, der die Erinnerung an die Bedeutung jüdischen Lebens ebenso wachhält, wie die Erinnerung an die Vernichtung jüdischen Lebens. 54 Jahre nach der Shoa, mit wiederkehrendem jüdischen Leben in unsere Stadt, gibt es wieder eine Perspektive, mit der wir in das nächste Millenium gehen. In der Hoffnung auf ein friedvolles Für- und Miteinander hat sich der Förderverein das Ziel gesetzt, die ehemalige Synagoge auf dem Krankenhausgelände neu einzurichten. Der Tradition entsprechend und offen für jeden.
