Abstract:
In this paper, the authors describe the various experimental phases that preceded the design of a high-intensity airborne-sound source called the Electroacoustic Horn. This rugged and reliable sound source, which operates within the 10- to 100-kHz range, produces high-intensity emissions (166 dB at the horn mouth) with an electroacoustic efficiency between 20% and 25%.
