Die demokratischen Revolutionen in Osteuropa sind, so der jugoslawische Schriftsteller und Politiker, aus Unzufriedenheit mit dem dirigistischen und undemokratischen kommunistischen System entstanden. Besondere Fälle im Zusammenhang mit der anstehenden Demokratisierung sind die Sowjetunion und Jugoslawien. Noch ist unklar, was am Ende des Systemwandels stehen wird. Dringend erforderlich ist die Klärung der Frage des Privateigentums in allen ehemals staatssozialistischen Ländern. Ziel sollte die Anbindung an Europa unter Einschluß der Sowjetunion sein. Trotz aller Probleme, etwa des Bremsens der bürokratischen Apparate, darf über die neuen Möglichkeiten eines zukünftigen Europas optimistisch geurteilt werden. (SWP-Sms)
