The original author of this Marrow of Alchemy, London, 1654, was from Bermuda & graduated Harvard College 1646;for his own pseudonym Starkey used a variant of the pseudonym of the mysterious American adept, Eirenaeus Philalethes Cosmopolita, whom Starkey proclaimed as his master and author of manuscripts in his possession, thus creating one of the great alchemical legends.
