Die Genese von Ressentiments, die Rolle von Minderheiten, Verlust- und Bedrohungsängste in der Mehrheit, die Eskalation von Feindbildern in öffentlicher Gewalt werden ebenso thematisiert wie Abwehrstrategien gegen "Fremde" oder "Andere".
