Tony Palmers 17teilige Fernsehserie "All you need is love" zur Geschichte der Popmusik, eine Produktion für London Weekend Television von 1976 (!)... ist nicht nur ein Stück Medienarchäologie, sondern erlaubt auch einen Rückblick in eine frühen Ära der Popmusik: "This was one of the first attempts to create a tv series on history of rock'n'roll. Since it was done in '77, before punk, they connected the whole thing in pop context tieing it with crooners and jazz. I remember watching this show as a very young boy and it really made a mark on me, as well as the eclectic soundtrack it came with. The sountrack is what kept the memory of this show alive.
