Schon seit einigen Jahren bietet die Universität Tübingen im Rahmen der "Kinder-Uni" Vorträge für ein sehr junges Publikum an, in denen Fachwissenschaftler in geeigneter Weise aus ihrem Forschungsgebiet berichten. In lockerem Plauderton, verwoben mit Bemerkungen zu Computerspielen oder neuestem elektronischen Spielzeug, gelegentlich auch mit ironischen Spitzen auf den Schulbetrieb, lässt der Text die Erkenntnisse und Methoden heutiger und früherer Himmelsforschung durchblicken, von den neuesten Vorstellungen der Kosmologen bis zur ersten Messung der Lichtgeschwindigkeit, vom Fernrohrnachbau eines Galilei bis zur Raumkapsel.
