Dieses Taschenbuch, das die Digitalisierung von Schallplatten und Videocassetten behandelt, beschränkt sich auf das Wesentliche: Die Arbeitsschritte eines Projektes werden mit relativ wenig Text, aber vielen erläuternden Abbildungen beschrieben, verwendet wird frei verfügbare oder Windows-eigene Software. Allerdings dürfen im Arbeitsablauf keine Schwierigkeiten auftreten: Eine Vertiefung wichtiger Einzelthemen, ein Blick "über den Tellerrand" oder auch nur ein "trouble-shooting" für potenzielle Probleme ist nicht vorhanden. Auch ist die Gewichtung einzelner Arbeitsschritte nicht immer nachvollziehbar - manche Nebensächlichkeiten (z.B. die Bedienung eines Plattenspielers) werden auf einer ganzen Seite dargestellt, manche komplexen technischen Sachverhalte hingegen werden unzulässig stark vereinfacht. Didaktisch problematisch: Mehrfach werden "falsch" und "richtig" in eigenen Abbildungen gegenüber gestellt - wodurch sich aber auch das "falsche" Bild einprägen kann. Fazit: Für den Audiobereich erscheint "Schallplatten & Kassetten perfekt digitalisieren" (BA 6/08) ausgewogener und umfassender. (3)
