Testament a Praga 〈engl.〉
Content:
In 1958, when he retired from his job as a municipal gardener in Prague, Tomàs Pàmies began to write his memoirs, and he sent them to his daughter Teresa so that he could machine them without touching anything. The autobiographical account of Thomas' life is interspersed with reflections from his daughter from Paris, ten years later, when he is dead. The two voices are expressed from the respective conditions of man and woman of different generations, who respect each other but often disagree, and who converge in the passion for the city of Prague; the dialogue they weave is poignant and gives us a striking testimony of crucial times. This fascinating book won the 1970 Josep Pla Prize.
