Abstract: At present, lung cancer has become clinically the malignant tumor with the highest incidence and mortality rate in China. Smoking, environmental pollution, infection, etc., are closely related to lung cancer. To investigate the effect of the nursing method of psychological intervention combined with health education on lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, 70 lung cancer patients who received chemotherapy in our hospital from June 2017 to June 2020 were selected and randomly divided into a routine intervention group (n = 35) and a combined intervention group (n = 35). Patients in the two groups had the same chemotherapy method and medication. The routine intervention group received the routine nursing intervention, while on this basis, the combined intervention group received psychological intervention combined with health education. After 6-week nursing, self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) score, self-rating depression scale (SDS) score, cancer pain score before and after nursing, improvement of respiratory function before and after nursing, sleep quality score, quality of life score, and nursing satisfaction were analyzed. Through nursing intervention, the quality of life indexes such as physiological, physical, social, emotional, and other indexes in the combined intervention group were significantly better than those in the routine intervention group, with statistical differences P 〈 0.01 . The nursing satisfaction in the combined intervention group was significantly better than that in the routine intervention group, with statistical significance (χ2 = 8.9342, P 〈 0.05 ). The psychological intervention combined with health education for lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy can effectively alleviate anxiety and depression, increase confidence in treatment, reduce pain and significantly improve sleep quality, respiratory function, quality of life, and nursing satisfaction.

Abstract: In recent years, microRNAs (miRNAs) derived from exosomes have been attracting attention as novel clinical biomarkers in a variety of cancers. In this study, plasma samples from 60 gastric cancer (GC) patients and 63 healthy individuals were collected, and the exosomal microRNAs (ex-miRNAs) were isolated. We determined the specific ex-miRNAs through miRNA microarray and a database of differentially expressed miRNAs called dbDEMC. Then, the expression levels of exosomal miR-31, miR-192, and miR-375 were analyzed by quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Compared to the matched controls, exosomal miR-31, miR-375, and miR-192 were significantly upregulated in GC patients. Also, they were found to be associated with gender, with miR-192 being significantly upregulated in male GC patients. Kaplan–Meier analysis indicated that high expressions of exosomal miR-31, miR-375, and miR-192 were positively correlated with poor clinical outcomes of GC patients. Cox univariate and multivariate analysis found that ex-miR-375 expression and TNM stage were independent prognostic factors of overall survival (OS). Our findings revealed that exosomal miR-31, miR-192, and miR-375 might serve as noninvasive, sensitive, and specific biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of GC patients.

Abstract: Background . Cinobufacin is a Chinese patent medicine widely used for breast cancer in China. However, no systematic review and meta-analysis have been published to validate its effects in breast cancer treatment. We, therefore, summarize the efficacy and safety of Cinobufacin combined with chemotherapy in order to provide rigid evidence for its clinical application. Methods . By searching multiple databases incepted to December 2019, the RCTs of breast cancer patients treated with Cinobufacin were screened according to the inclusion criteria, and the meta-analysis and sensitivity analysis were conducted using RevMan5.3. Results . A total of 1163 articles were retrieved, and 16 studies were included. The total sample size was 1331 cases, including 666 cases in the treatment group receiving Cinobufacin combined with chemotherapy and 665 cases in the control group receiving chemotherapy alone. Our study found that the ORR (overall response rate) (RR = 1.35, 95% CI: [1.23, 1.49], P 〈 0.00001 ), CBR (clinical benefit rate) (RR = 1.14, 95% CI: [1.08, 1.21], P 〈 0.00001 ), KPS scores (RR = 1.98, 95% CI: [1.45, 2.68], P 〈 0.0001 ), and pain relief rate (RR = 1.34, 95% CI: [1.01, 1.78] P = 0.04 of the Cinobufacin combined with chemotherapy group were better than those of the chemotherapy group, and the difference was statistically significant. Our study also discovered that the tumor markers (CA125, CA153, and CEA) in the Cinobufacin combined with chemotherapy group were lower than those in the chemotherapy group, which heterogeneity was derived from the low-quality literature included in the study, but the results were robust. In addition, in terms of safety, we found that the incidences of gastrointestinal reactions (RR = 0.58, 95% CI: [0.48, 0.70], P 〈 0.00001 ), liver and kidney damage (RR = 0.57, 95% CI: [0.38, 0.84], P = 0.004 ), and hair loss (RR = 0.61, 95% CI: [0.40, 0.92], P = 0.02 ) in the Cinobufacin combined chemotherapy group were lower than those in the chemotherapy group, and the difference was statistically significant, but the incidences of peripheral neurotoxicity (RR = 0.69, 95% CI: [0.26, 1.85] , P = 0.46 ) and myelosuppression (RR = 0.78, 95% CI: [0.46, 1.34], P = 0.37 ) in the combined group were similar to those of the chemotherapy group, and the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusions . Cinobufacin combined with chemotherapy can improve the clinical efficacy of breast cancer patients, enhance the quality of life of the patients, reduce the value of tumor markers such as CA125, CA153, and CEA, and lower the occurrence of adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal reactions, liver and kidney damage, and hair loss.

Abstract: Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is one of the most common musculoskeletal disorders. OA diagnosis is currently conducted by assessing symptoms and evaluating plain radiographs, but this process suffers from the subjectivity of doctors. In this study, we retrospectively compared five commonly used machine learning methods, especially the CNN network, to predict the real-world X-ray imaging data of knee joints from two different hospitals using Kellgren-Lawrence (K-L) grade of knee OA to help doctors choose proper auxiliary tools. Furthermore, we present attention maps of CNN to highlight the radiological features affecting the network decision. Such information makes the decision process transparent for practitioners, which builds better trust towards such automatic methods and, moreover, reduces the workload of clinicians, especially for remote areas without enough medical staff.

Abstract: This study concentrated on the pollution level, sources, and lung cancer risk of PM 10 -bound polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in summer in Nanjing, China. PM 10 samples were collected in summer of the year 2015 in Nanjing. 16 USEPA (United States Environmental Protection Agency) priority PAHs were extracted and analyzed after sampling. The mean concentrations of PAHs and B a P e q were 7.49 ± 2.60 and 1.21 ± 0.24  ng/m 3 , respectively, being in a middle level among results from regions worldwide. According to the results of diagnostic ratios, PAHs originated mainly from traffic exhaust, especially diesel vehicle emissions. Owing to the inhalation exposure, the median values of incremental lung cancer risk (ILCR) were estimated to be 3.36 × 10 - 8 , 2.50 × 10 - 8 , 1.69 × 10 - 7 , 2.54 × 10 - 8 , 1.38 × 10 - 7 , 1.18 × 10 - 7 , 1.27 × 10 - 7 , and 1.11 × 10 - 7 for boys, male adolescents, male adults, male seniors, girls, female adolescents, female adults, and female seniors, respectively, indicating low potential lung cancer risk.

Abstract: The study investigated the expression of Wnt/ β -catenin pathway in diabetic rats and the intervention effect of Huayu Tongluo herbs (HTH). Ten rats were randomly selected as control group and the remaining rats were established as diabetic models. The diabetic rats were randomly divided into model group and HTH treatment group. The intervention was intragastric administration in all rats for 20 weeks. At the end of every 4 weeks, fasting blood glucose and 24 h urinary total protein quantitatively were measured. At the end of the 20th week, biochemical parameters and body weight were tested. The kidney tissues were observed under light microscope and transmission electron microscopy. We examined Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway key proteins and renal interstitial fibrosis related molecular markers expression. The results showed that HTH could reduce urinary protein excretion and relieve renal pathological damage. Wnt4, p-GSK3 β (S9), and β -catenin expression were decreased in the signaling pathway, but GSK3 β level was not changed by HTH in diabetic rats. Furthermore, the expressions of TGF- β 1 and ILK were decreased, but the level of E-cadherin was increased in diabetic rats after treatment with HTH. This study demonstrated that HTH could inhibit the high expression of Wnt/ β -catenin pathway in kidney of diabetic rats. The effect might be one of the main ways to reduce urinary protein excretion.

Abstract: Lattice structure materials have great application potential in biomedical, aerospace, and other fields. In fact, designing multilevel structure parametrically to achieve excellent mechanical performance is a challenging task. In this paper, a hierarchical lattice modeling method with gradient functions is proposed on the basis of the multilevel structural characteristics of organisms to solve the problem of the coexistence of high hardness, high strength, and high toughness. The multilevel body space is filled with matching lattices in accordance with the given dynamic parameters, and the design is optimized in accordance with the simulation results. Thus, the desired composite functional structure is generated. In fact, the proposed method is divided into two stages, that is, preprocessing and design. In the former stage, the interpolation method is used to establish a lattice unit model family retrieved by parameters, such as elastic modulus and impact toughness. In the latter stage, the multilevel 3D reconstruction model is initially filled with the gradient multilevel lattices through the global optimization technique with an isosurface modeling algorithm. The porosity, rod diameter, and other parameters of the lattice structure are regulated in accordance with the results of finite element analysis through image mapping, meeting the requirements of biomechanical characteristics. Our empirical evaluation and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can control the relationship between porous structure porosity, elastic modulus, and impact toughness and design bionic multispace microstructures close to biodental displacement and deformation.

Abstract: In this study, rat models of acute kidney injury (AKI) induced by renal ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) and HK-2 cell models of hypoxia-reoxygenation (H/R) were established to investigate the expression of inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) in AKI, and the regulation relationship between ID1 and hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha (HIF-1 α ). Through western blot, quantitative real-time PCR, immunohistochemistry, and other experiment methods, the induction of ID1 after renal I/R in vivo was observed, which was expressed mainly in renal tubular epithelial cells (TECs). ID1 expression was upregulated in in vitro H/R models at both the protein and mRNA levels. Via RNAi, it was found that ID1 induction was inhibited with silencing of HIF-1 α . Moreover, the suppression of ID1 mRNA expression could lead to decreased expression and transcription of HIF-1 α during hypoxia and reoxygenation. In addition, it was demonstrated that both ID1 and HIF-1 α can regulate the transcription of twist. This study demonstrated that ID1 is induced in renal TECs during I/R and can regulate the transcription and expression of HIF-1 α .

Abstract: Dysregulation of multiple microRNAs widely takes place during rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and experimental arthritides. This study is performed to explore the possible mechanism underlying DICER1 deficiency-mediated inflammation in human synoviocytes SW982. Firstly, RNAi of DICER1 led to increased COX2, MMP3, and MMP13 protein production, while DICER1 overexpression could reduce MMP13 expression. Secondly, the increase of IL-8 and decrease of TGF- β 1 and TIMP1 were determined in the supernatant derived from DICER1 siRNA-treated cells, while DICER1 overexpression was found capable to reverse this effect. Ingenuity pathway analysis (IPA) software predicted that the Dicer1 deficiency-induced dysregulated cytokines in synoviocytes could possibly lead to the inflammatory disorders in the synovial tissue. Moreover, DICER1 deficiency could also reduce apoptosis, while DICER1 overexpression was found to decrease the proliferation and enhance apoptosis. In addition, DICER1 deficiency could lower the expression of multiple RA-related miRNAs such as miR-155. Meanwhile, DICER1 overexpression could rescue their low expression levels. And then, gain or loss of miR-155 function could regulate the protein levels of MMP3 and MMP13. These results indicated that DICER1 might play its role through regulating its downstream RA-related miRNAs. Our data demonstrated that DICER1 deficiency could cause multiple proinflammatory events in human synoviocytes SW982. This mechanism study might provide the possible target molecule to modify the inflammatory destruction and overproliferation in synoviocytes.

Abstract: Polyacrylonitrile (PAN)/organic-modified montmorillonite (O-MMT) composite nanofibrous membranes were firstly prepared by electrospinning and then coated with titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) using spin coating technique. The structural morphology of the nanofibrous membranes with different mass ratio of O-MMT before and after spin coating was investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). The chemical property of adsorbed methylene blue (MB) was analyzed by infrared spectroscopy (IR). The adsorption and photodegradation capability of the TiO 2 -coated PAN/O-MMT composite nanofibrous membranes were evaluated by adsorption rate of MB and K/S values of the membranes before and after UV irradiation. The experimental results indicated that with the increase of O-MMT amount, the diameters of the nanofibers decreased and the adsorption rate of MB was evidently improved. Besides, with the increase of TiO 2 film layers, the photocatalytic properties were enhanced while the adsorption process was slowed down.
