Kurzfassung:
Germanium Cluster-based nanostructured films are prepared by inert gas evaporation. Their optical properties are analyzed by spectrophotometric measurement. Blue shift of the fundamental band gap is found to be as large as 2.0eV for the 10nm size cluster-based sample. Agreement is reached between the measurement and the theory of quantum confinement if the oxidation of the clusters is taken into account.
