Die 9jährige Poosie hat ihre 'Touren': die Puppentour, die Katzentour und dann die Cowboytour und stellt allerlei Dinge an, die für die Erwachsenen nicht immer angenehm sind; meistens zeigt sie ein jungenhaft wildes Verhalten, daß besonders dem Vater mißfällt. *FL*RN'Sie muß ruhiger werden, mädchenhaft', stellt er fest, '... in dem Alter hat meine Schwester gestrickt, was das Zeug hielt, und meine Mutter hat angeblich schon als Fünfjährige gestrickt ...' (S. 12).*FL*RNPoosie hat eine enge Beziehung zu ihrem Vater, die Mutter liebt sie auch und auch die beiden älteren Schwestern, aber den Vater liebt sie über alles.*FL*RNIn dieser episodenartigen Erzählung erfahren wir allmählich den Anpassungsprozeß Poosies an das von Mädchen erwartete Verhalten. Sie ist in einem Alter, in dem jungenhaft wildes Verhalten zwar einerseits noch belächelt wird, andererseits jedoch zu Bedenken Anlaß gibt und durch gezielte Erziehungsmaßnahmen in andere Bahnen gelenkt wird: '... und ermahnte Poosie, nicht zu stochern, sondern zu essen.' (S. 64). '... Poosie war einverstanden, erstens weil sie wußte, daß der Vater immer recht hatte, ...' ( S. 71) (Martha Hagen) 〈dt.〉
