Abstract: A N2-H2 capacitively coupled rf discharge has potential applications in etching of organic low dielectric constant (low-k) material for microelectronics technology. In this paper, we investigate the characteristic and electrical asymmetry effect (EAE) on the N2-H2 capacitively coupled plasma used for low-k material etching by particle-in-cell/Monte Carlo (PIC/MC) model, in which the two frequency sources of 13.56 MHz and 27.12 MHz are applied separately to the two electrodes in geometrically in symmetry. It is found that the plasma density profiles, the ion flux density profiles and the energy distribution of ion bombarding electrodes can be changed by adjusting the phase angle θ between the two harmonics. When the phase angle θ is 0°, the density of primary ion (H3+) near low frequencie electrode (LFE) (wafer) is smallest, whereas flux and average energy of ion (H+, H3+, H2+) bombarding LFE are biggest; if the phase angle θ is tuned from 0° to 90°, the dc self-bias increases almost linearly from -103 V to 106 V, ion flux bombarding the LFE decreases by ±18%, the maximum of the ion bombarding energy at the LFE decreases by a factor of 2.5. For the N2-H2 capacitively coupled rf discharge, for the case of two frequencies (13.56 MHz/27.12 MHz) applied separately to the two electrodes, can realize separate control of ion energy and flux via the EAE, and is generally in qualitative agreement with experimental and modeling investigation on the Ar and O2 plasma for a dual-frequency voltage source of 13.56 MHz and 27.12 MHz is applied to the powered electrode. This work supplies a references basis for experimental research and technology that the EAE on the H2-N2 plasmas is used for organic low-k material etching process.

Abstract: The concept of time domain parameter is defined. In a small temperature region of (49±1)℃, dielectric spectroscopy of the time and frequency domains of a TGS single crystal is measured was FE phase transition of the crystal occurs. The results are devided into three components contributed by polarization of lattice, motion of electric domains, and activation of screen charges respectively. The latler two components make the ratio between static die-lectric constant and dielectric constant of acoustic frequency increase from 1 to 2.5 in this tem-perature region. The loss peak is provided mainly by screen charges, and the corresponding anomaly of free relaxation time appears near 48.615℃

Abstract: Using the multiple scattering cluster method (MSC), we have calculated the oxygen K-edge NEXAFS spectra of formate molecule which is the intermediate in the catalytic decomposition of formic acid over Cu(110) surface. The calculation shows that the formate is adsorbed at the short-bridge site of Cu(110) surface, the bond-lengths LC-0 and LCu-o are 1.26±0.01? and 1.975±0.02? respectively, the O-C-O bond angle is in the range of 130°-134°. This result agrees with that of photoelectron diffraction, and demonstrates that the multiple scattering cluster method is an effective one for the surface structure determination.

Abstract: The wavelet transform was applied to process the accelerometer signals derived from human walking. The accelerometer signals were first decomposed at different levels utilizing the multi-scale and multi-resolution characteristics of the discrete wavelet transform. After the determination of both the mother wavelet and the optimal decomposition level, human gait series can thus be extracted from the eigen scale of the accelerometer signal. Compared with the method that detects peak values directly from accelerometer signals by thresholding, the wavelet transform gives higher detection rate of peak values on the eigen scale of the accelerometer signals. Even when the accelerometer signals are exposed to serious noise, experimental results still demonstrate that the wavelet approach can guarantee the precision of the extracted gait series, which is of vital importance for the subsequent analyses. It can be concluded that wavelet transform is an effective tool for the extraction of gait rhythmicity. The wavelet transform will be helpful in identifying the characteristics of other physiological signals.

Abstract: In recent years, due to the rapid development of nano science and advanced semiconductor technology, one is able to observe more significant quantum optomechanical effects as optomechanical system turns smaller in size. Optomechanically induced transparency, fast and slow light, optical storage as well as other quantum optical and nonlinear optical effects have become the focus of research. On the other hand, the optomechanical systems coupled to other small subsystems (such as atoms, quantum dots, single electron transistors, etc.) also attract great attention in research. This is because the coupling system has not only provided more degrees of freedom for quantum manipulation, but also opened up more channels for classical and quantum information transfer. In this paper we study the optomechanically induced transparency and fast/slow light phase control in atom-assisted optomechanical cavity. Unlike the traditional systems, in this model the mechanical resonator is directly driven by a weak auxiliary driving field. We therefore find that with the change of amplitude ratio and phase difference between the auxiliary driving field and the probe field, the absorption and dispersion properties of the whole system and the group delay time vary accordingly. In the absence of auxiliary field, we observe the spectral features of the hybrid electromagnetically induced transparency and optomechanically induced transparency (OMIT) in an atom-cavity-oscillator tripartite optomechanical system. When there exists no phase difference between the auxiliary field and the probe field, we find that the membrane resonance absorption is enhanced with the increase of auxiliary field strength at resonance, causing the the optomechanically induced transparency to be suppressed, and therefore we can modify the amplitude of auxiliary field to control the depth of the OMIT window. When keeping amplitude ratio between the auxiliary field and the probe field unchanged, the modification of the phase difference between the auxiliary field and the probe field directly affects the we can not only realize the manipulation of OMIT window depth, but also control the transformation of tunable optical switch among "absorption", "transparent" and "gain" of the system. Therefore, through changing the phase of auxiliary field and probe field, we can not only realize the manipulation of OMIT window depth, but also control the transformation of tunable optical switch among "absorption" , "transparent" and "gain". In the meantime, we find that the system’s group delay time varies periodically with the change of phase difference. It is worth noting that by adjusting the phase difference and the atomic number, we can not only change the magnitude of the group delay, but also realize the conversion between slow light and fast light effect.

Abstract: A method of Fourier transform dielectric spectrometer is described, it leads to simplifying the process of solving spectrum and to save the memory capacity for data. Using this method, it is shown that for the same dielectric sample the free and random relaxation will appear under different condition in the time range of 106 to 10-4 seconds, that was predicted by the phe-nomenoiogical theory. The relaxation times are related to the resistance R of the measurement circuit joinning the two electrodes of the sample.. Large value of R leads to a relaxation time of open circuit, and small ones lead to the limit of short circuit; the relaxation time of open ciecuit may be as large as 106 times of the short circuit one. The variation in frequancy domain spectrums of complex dielectric constant is given from open to short circuit cases.

Abstract: 〈sec〉In this paper, the dual-band and four-band plamon-induced transparency(PIT) hybrid model based on silver nanorod and silver nanodisk hybrid model are proposed. The electromagnetic characteristics of the two PIT hybrid models are also estimated respectively. The results show that in the double-band PIT model, the silver nanodisk (bright mode) and the silver nanorod (dark mode) can form the bright-dark-dark mode coupling. Because of the destructive interference produced by nanodisk and nanorod and the emergence of new SPs resonance modes between nanorod and nanorod, the double-band PIT model can produce two transparent windows. When the length of the nanorods and the distance between the nanorods and nanodisk are changed, the resonant frequencies and transmission amplitudes of two transparent windows will be changed accordingly. 〈/sec〉〈sec〉In the four-band PIT model, the silver nanodisk and the silver nanorods will form the dark-dark-bright-dark-dark mode coupling. The resonant peaks of four transparent windows almost coincide with those of the two asymmetric double-band PIT models. Therefore, the four-band PIT model can be regarded as the superposition of two asymmetric double-band PIT models. The resonant frequencies and transmission amplitudes of four transparent windows also vary with the the length of nanorods and the distance between nanorods and nanodisk.〈/sec〉〈sec〉Finally, the sensing performance of the four-band PIT model is investigated. It is found that the model can produce four transparent windows from beginning to end when the refractive index of the background material is changed. As the refractive index is changed from 1.0 to 1.4, the resonant frequencies in four transparent windows are approximately linearly related to the refractive index. At the same time, the maximum sensitivity of the four transparent windows can reach 326.2625 (THz/RIU) and the maximum figure of merit can arrive at 26.4 (1/RIU), which is higher than those of similar similar sensors in other literatures. This work provides the theoretical support for these models’ potential applications in many areas such as optical storage, absorption, filtering and the design of sensors in infrared band.〈/sec〉
