Abstract:
How will C‐fluxes, CUE, and C‐stocks of the major European forest types may respond to elevated atmospheric CO 2 , warming, and management in the future? Results show that managed forests left unthinned will reduce their CUE and their C‐stocks capability faster under climate change because of accelerated development Results show that thinning may have a large influence on C‐sequestration improving forest efficiency in stocking C as also in preventing risks of forest dieback
