Die V-1, V-2 und "Rheinbote" waren nur die technische Vorstufe für Entwicklungen wie Interkontinentalraketen, Weltraumflugzeuge und bemannte Orbitalstationen. Diese Projekte gelangten bis Kriegsende noch weit über das Reißbrettstadium hinaus. Hitler wollte mit diesen Waffen, die nukleare Sprengköpfe tragen sollten, nicht nur New York angreifen und die USA aus dem Zweiten Weltkrieg "herausschießen", sondern mittels einer langfristigen Planung Deutschlands Vorherrschaft in der Zeit nach dem von ihm propagierten "Endsieg" sichern.
