Bei den über 50 Rätseln in diesem Buch, die sich um den jungen Schriftsteller Julien im Paris der 1920er-Jahre drehen, handelt es sich um eine Rätselsammlung im Stil von Escape-Room-Rätseln. Auf jeder Doppelseite gibt es ein eigenständiges Rätsel, das mit Logik und Um-die-Ecke-denken zu lösen ist. Erste Hinweise bekommt man mit dem Text, die gezeichneten Bilder können beim Lösen helfen. Wer nicht weiterkommt, findet drei weitere Hinweise im Buch. Es ist möglich, alleine oder zu mehreren zu knobeln. Der Titel ist relativ gut für Bibliotheken geeignet. Es gibt zwar einige Rätsel, bei denen die Gefahr besteht, dass der Leser ins Buch schreibt. Diese kann man aber auch auf einem separaten Blatt lösen. Auch muss man keine Seiten oder Spielkarten zerschneiden. Darüber hinaus ist jedes Rätsel für sich alleine lösbar. Somit kann dieses Buch mehrmals gespielt werden.
