Abstract:
Valve‐in‐valve transcatheter aortic valve replacement is associated with better short‐term outcomes, including all‐cause mortality, compared with redo surgical replacement. As the adoption of valve‐in‐valve transcatheter aortic valve replacement continues to grow, it is critical to generate evidence for long‐term durability and survival. The initial implant, whether surgical or transcatheter, is an important determinant of future options.
